Nothnaralan is Quyan for 'the ladder to the sea'. This city was built by the Masters when they constructed a new route from the Guarded Land to the Naralan and the sea.

This is where Carnelian and his companions come up onto the Guarded Land. It is in the semi-circular space against the cliff edge that the party is attacked by the Brotherhood of the Wheel as agents of Ykoriana.
