Biog - progress report, June 2003

On the 13th of this month, I finally completed 'tapestry'. It is a document 80 odd pages long and is, essentially, the final book in the trilogy in miniature. It has taken me longer than I had hoped to reach this stage - but this volume is going to be far more complex than the previous two.

Now that I have my blueprint, I have to write the book itself. That I am only now getting to this is not as alarming as it sounds. In the past, the myriad researches and the weaving of the plot were all mixed in with the actual writing of the book. Additionally, this approach forced me through several monstrous rewrites (which added at least a year to the writing time for The Standing Dead). With the major part of the researches etc now complete, I am hoping that the writing of the text will be plain sailing....
