Biog - progress report, April 2002

I began working on the third and final volume of the Stone Dance of the Chameleon in September last year. Christmas, the copy-editing of The Standing Dead and then the publicity work I had to do for its launch in the UK - all took their toll. However, I have been working exclusively on the book since March.

Currently, I am involved in creating a document which I call 'tapestry'. This consists of a scaled down version of the final book through which run the threads for the characters, the plotlines and the many themes which form the fundamental pattern of the Stone Dance as a whole. I have not yet written a word of the actual book - though many sentences that will appear in it are beginning to catch in tapestry's warp and weft...
